Kasama products have constantly evolved from experience with making performance upgrade parts for various RC helicopters to producing a complete helicopter kit the Srimok 90 series. Through 3D and high speed competition success Kasama Helicopters has since gained a lot of experience. And now more recent involvement with V-tol unmanned vehicle research and development project that can only improve future products.

The design philosophy then and will continue in the future is to produce helicopters that have a sophisticated mechanical style. Have beautiful mechanics with function for enjoyment and performance also. For the helicopter enthusiast who is looking for that next level experience.

FINAL TESTING
Kasama Helicopters is pleased to announced that final testing is now almost complete for the Kasama 600 prototype version 4. It is now comprised of many parts that have been finalised and are already in production. Now the fine tuning is being done to bring the package as a whole together and to fly at its optimum. The prototype is being flown non stop everyday all day with small changes and updates being made.

SETUPS SYSTEM
The Kasama 600 includes many features to make initial setup quick and easy. Alot of testing has been done to optimise the control system for great flight performance without needing in depth and time consuming tuning. It will fly well for most pilots on standard and simple flybarless system setups. Mechanical setup is also very straight forward the CCPM bellcranks can be aligned easily to the frame ensuring the correct neutral. Once assembly is complete you can have your Kasama 600 setup and flying in a very short time without need for special tools.
FIRST IN THE WORLD
Also removing and installing components such as the main shaft and tail boom are very fast and easy. A simple double lock system with no through screw or pin for the main shaft and auto hub. A first in the RC helicopter industry. Assembly details for the new mainshaft and auto hub coming soon. The tail boom clamp is also new for the 600 also and incorporates a viewing hole to check that it is fully home before tightening.

TESTING SUCCESS WITH 60A. ESC.
Speed controller testing has included even the use of a 60A rated controller with a 700 size motor in 40 degree C ambients.During testing a 60A controller has proven to be enough in temperatures not higher than 40 degrees C! We are very pleased about this because if it can fly aggressively in this temperature with this controller it means we have achieved very high overall efficiency for helicopter. This all means more flight time and less stress on every part.

MOTOR SIZES
A variety of motor sizes and KV have been tested in the Kasama 600. An ideal KV for 12 cells will be around 520 allowing for headspeeds with good headroom. Best flight time and performance has been found in the 2200-2300rpm range with a variety of different rotors up to a size of 620mm. Performance is high with 4025 or 600 size motors and very high with 4035 or 90 size motors and more collective! To see a big difference in performance we needed to load it with more collective not more RPM. And the helicopter runs smooth and reliable for its modest size.

FLIGHT TIME
Testing at the Kasama factory in Thailand during mid to late April has been a tough test! Temperatures regularly around 40 degrees Celsius and high humdity. Flight testing nearly non stop and abusively on the prototype to test durability and has been no problem as the 600 does share many parts from the 90 size Srimok helicopters. Focus also has been on flight time and current consumption. Using 12 cells and 3500mah the flight time is over 5 minutes with 700 size motors and a hard flying style. Performance is very high despite the Lipo C rating of only 35.
