Almost 100% of these things are NOT drones, they are simply RC (Radio Controlled) aircraft just like RC airplanes & helicopters that have been around for many decades. Sure, newer quad/multi-rotor designs are now offered, but they are still RC aircraft. We fly them by radio control using a hand held transmitter (RC radio) for enjoyment and in recent years; now also being able to take aerial photos & video with them or fly them FPV style thanks to improved technology that has given us quality video cameras that are small, lightweight, and inexpensive. They however all remain to be RC aircraft - no more, no less...
What Makes A Real RC Drone?
Before answering that, I should point out what all these aircraft (both RC & Drones) are. They are all UA's (unmanned aircraft), or UAV's (unmanned aerial vehicles), or RPV's (remotely piloted vehicles). If people, media, and marketing want recreational RC aircraft to sound cooler or more menacing, then at least call them a UAV or an RPV; don't dumb yourself down by calling them an RC Drone.
sorry że po angielsku, ale cały czAS mnie wkurza jak ktoś mówi: latam DRONEM; a u mnie na wsi to nagminne
